The dates have been set for Basic and Advanced Lay Speaker training. I am very excited about both of these courses. This will be the first time the Basic course will be taught using the new format. The concentration areas the new format is based on are Caring, Communicating, and Leading. This course is design to better equip our Laity to Transform the World and hopefully be better leaders within their own churches.

The Advance Lay Speaker course will be lead by Rick Herbert. This course is designed to better equip the Laity in leading a Bible Study. It is being offered on “Lay Speakers Lead In Bible Study” and will be held Saturday, February 18th 2012 at St James UMC in Greenville, NC. Locate it here, but confirm the actual building location.
